Hills Development

EBCLT has been looking at a number of possible proposals over the years to provide affordable housing in the Parish of East Bergholt and have met with Hills, the developer of the site adjacent to the Constable Medical Practice, to discuss the concept of gifting dwellings to EBCLT in relation to the existing Planning Permission for 75 houses. The proposal has been discussed by the Trustees of EBCLT. The Trustees have decided to move forward with the proposal on the basis that 5 dwellings would be gifted by Hills to EBCLT to be made available to those people with strong local connections in need of affordable housing on our housing needs register. Hills are seeking an amendment to their S106 Agreement to facilitate gifting of properties to EBCLT. EBCLT has not discussed or agreed to the recent new Planning Application submitted by Hills.
